Many believe they grasp the true meaning of the word mindset, while only reaching a surface level understanding. A healthy mindset is holding a positive attitude about thoughts, emotions, and actions. While being only a fraction of mental health, mindset shapes the way in which a person conducts their daily life, defining their overall frame of mind. Believe it or not, mindset and psychology are closely connected! How you think determines how you feel, and in most cases, how you act.
Feeling as though acquired talents and knowledge are not expandable, while lacking the drive to try regardless defines a rigid, locked mindset.
Lifelong learning is the essence of truly living. Believing in the fact that skills can always be improved, knowledge can be further developed, and resilience strengthened is the foundation of a growth mindset.
Smaller, more attainable goals lead to higher rates of success. Breaking tasks down reduces the chances of feeling overwhelmed. Think of a ladder, and take things one rung at a time, then, the task won't seem so daunting.
